Well after a whole season of blood sweat and tears CyberGamer last night geared up for its Grand Final event where we saw the Australian Universal Soldiers take on the powerhouse of Australian Battlefield Team Exile5. The grind was over and it was down to just one more match to see who would stand at the top of the hill with there slain foes scattered and crushed beneath their heels. The Match itself was a best of three maps encounter on the small format 6v6 mod with only 20 minute rounds and 75 tickets per side the stage was set for frantic rushes epic tank battles and hard hitting close quarters infantry encounters which were sure to leave the cities of the middle east in ruins.
We kicked off in Mashtuur city where its walled city was divided by a dried up river and two teams poised on each side ready to go head to head the call went live and we all tuned into live video shout casting from our broadcast Partners Gamestah radio (http://www.gamestah.com). After what seemed like a chaotic rollout we saw Exile5 pull off a brilliant tactical rush which saw them break clean through the Australian Universal Soldiers lines and secure all three flags on rollout. They weren’t to be counted out as they battled fiercely in brutal rushes against very heavily fortified exile5 controlled territory but couldn’t break through for long enough to sway the balance as Exile5 used there APC to perfection to blunt and break up every rush to sweep through the first round 56-0 in an impressive display of teamwork and coordination. The second round again saw Exile5 pull out a big strat on rollout as MEC which had them secure 2 flags and the bleed very quickly with the 3rd flag again falling to them under a torrent of APC fire from there captain Smiley. AUS captured flags back but were unable to hold them long enough to secure a second and Exile5 again walked away with a comfortable 44-0 ticket win meaning they took the first map 100-0.
Map one now complete the server went down for a restart and came back up on Strike at Karkand East, which is centered on the eastern side of the river in the city of Karkand. Exile5 started off on the USMC team and when the call went live they rushed hard and ran headlong into the full push from the MEC team to secure the warehouse, there tank smashed up there assault and with some well placed anti tank troops Exile5 downed the Australian Universal Soldiers tank and quickly pressed on to again secure all three flags and put the MEC team under a world of pressure. Aus battled very hard in return and we saw flags swapped flags grayed massive double and triple kills but Exile5 were too strong and took the USMC round 30-0. It was do or die time now for the Australian Universal soldiers, they had a quick break and readied up for there USMC round, the call went up and the round went live. A very strong rollout from Australian Universal Soldiers saw them secure the eastern side of the warehouse, and with some very strong defense they maintained that flag for the greater half of the round, but Exile5 again with perfectly timed strikes arrived on flags in numbers and kept Australian universal soldiers bleeding, with the tickets counting down and the Australian Universal Soldiers needing a 30+ ticket win in the round to secure a victory on the map and force it to a third map they launched an all out assault on Exile5 the battles were brutal as they launched themselves at the MEC team over and over again trying to gain a second flag and put Exile5 on the bleed, they did managed it for a minute but a very decisive counterattack from Exile5 saw that broken up and the cost in tickets was too great as Exile5 took away the win 48-0 and the map 78-0 meaning they took the best of 3 encounter in 2 maps with a total score of 178-0.
Congratulations to Team Exile5 http://www.team-exile5.org on the victory and we look forward to seeing them defend their title in season 2.
